We had table for 4 last night and ordered $55.90 banquets Dawat E Shahzad Salim each . Ambiance was good, foods looked good but didn’t taste fresh at all , especially the lamb chops was stale , smelt horrible , I am having food poisoning and upset stomach the whole day today. The curries had beautiful long names but they weren’t worth the money at all. Truely disappointed with the food at the darling harbour side.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lal Qila, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The ambiance is warm and inviting. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, providing excellent service without being intrusive.

The food was the real highlight! it was absolutely delicious. Full of flavour, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. The menu offers a great variety of options, catering to different tastes and dietary needs.

The portions were generous, and the pricing was very reasonable for the quality of food. I also appreciated the attention to detail in every aspect, from the fresh ingredients to the unique flavours in each dish.

I will definitely be returning and highly recommend Lal Qila to anyone looking for a great meal and memorable dining experience!

We were here for a get-together a few days ago, and we ordered a few starters and a vegetarian biryani. Instead, we were given chicken biryani. When we questioned the staff about it, they were very rude and insisted it was vegetarian, only for us to find chicken pieces while serving. They replaced it only after we showed them what was served. However, the food tasted decent, hence the 3 stars. Highly disappointing experience.

There were more than 15 dishes with both veg and non veg options. Food was full of flavors and taste.

We recently visited Lal Qila in Sydney CBDwhile on a trip from Darwin, and I must say, the food here is extraordinary. As someone who is quite selective about what I eat, I was initially hesitant. However, Lal Qila surpassed all my expectations and left me thoroughly impressed.

The flavors are authentic and perfectly balanced, and every dish I tried was cooked to perfection. The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, complementing the delicious food perfectly.

If you're visiting Sydney and looking for an unforgettable dining experience. Lal Qila is the place to be. I've fallen in love with their food, and I recommend it highly.

Best Indian/Pakistani food I’ve ever had! Service was outstanding and the food so delicious. If you have never tried Indian food, you really need to come here. If I could lick the plates I would haha fantastic ☺️ You could taste all the spices. I topped it with a cuppa masala Chai, yum!

We visited Lal Qila situated conveniently near Darling Harbour. The restaurant is fairly large and spacious with unique cultural touches.

We arrived approximately an hour before closing and started with Jaam-e-Noor-e-Nazer, which is a virgin Pina Colada, and Jaam-e-Dilnashee Sabazazaar. The latter was an absolutely delicious and refreshing lime and mint slushy.

Next, we thoroughly enjoyed the Kurkura Nawabzada- the King Prawns were seasoned incredibly well and were fresh and high-quality.

We were surprised to see 5 different types of Biryanis and opted for the Mughal-e-Azam Biryani which was a classic chicken one. This dish felt rather disappointing with the seasoning being too far off from a traditional Biryani.

Our second entree was an Akbari Nihari which we absolutely loved! It paired perfectly with the variety of Naan the restaurant offers like the Garlic Naan and the Roghni Naan.

The service was a little slow at times but that is to be expected prior to closing.

I’d definitely recommend this restaurant as the menu is extensive and they have something for everyone.

A famous Pakistani restaurant serves Mugalai Indian cuisine. I went with friends for dinner. The food tasted fantastic, except Dall Tadka was a bit disappointed. Non-breads are soft and fluffy. Paratha was a bit dry. Chicken Karahi tastes incredible. Gulab Jamun was buttery smooth and tasted fantastic with ice cream. A must-try one.

Service is good as they manage the crowd well—clean and airy dining hall with many tables. It's a bit noisy when it gets crowded.

I overall had a great experience. It's a bit overpriced, must visit a restaurant if you want to taste Mughal food.
