This is the first time I've tried Nepalese food, so I have nothing to benchmark my food experience.

All I can say is that I am pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed the spices used on the dish I got, sorry I don't remember the name, the spice is not overwhelming.

The one thing that took me by surprise was that my food was cold. But my Nepalese colleagues told me that my food is usually served cold, so no big deal.

I enjoyed my meal, the company of my Nepalese colleagues and needless to say, I will be back to try the other hot dishes.

Very big and spacious restaurant with really nice cultural decorations throughout. Food was pretty good, came out fast with lovely service from the staff. Chicken biriyani was a standout. Daal lentil curry was so creamy and warm on the cold and windy day that we came on, I wanted to drink it straight from the bowl. Prices as expected for city dining.

Looked for a eatery that opens late and found this lively restaurant for Nepalese and North Indian cuisine. The lamb sekuwa (skewers) though succulent it bordered towards dry. But the Nepalese goat curry is great. The garlic naan is fluffy, easy to tear with the hand.

Best place for Nepalese Thali khana but not worth for Nepalese momo. Rice was delicious but the taste of momo was over flavored by too much fennel seed which destroyed the whole taste of Momo.

Service: Really disappointed with the service we almost finish our rice and wanted to order some more but we didn’t see any waitress around, later we saw 2 waitresses at the bar but they didn’t even look at us even after we call them no one heard us. Ok music was on but they should Atleast check on their customers. After a couple of minutes a waitress came and we order the rice but it came too late.
Disappointing.

the place was very good in terms of decorations and vibe. we were 5 people dining with a baby so they gave us a comfortable place and baby chair. we ordered chips chilly, steam chicken momo, sadheko chicken momo, newari khaja set, chicken chowmein, mutton biryani and motichoor laddu. the best amongst all was chowmein and chicken biryani. the chowmein was very local style and great in taste. the biryani was flavourful with tender meat. the chips chilly was okay and the newari khaja set was okay too but ... the biggest disappointment was laddu and momo. momo was very fatty and the quality of minced meat isnt great. sadheko momo was nothing but tomato and onions topped...very sub par at best. the biggest culprit was the laddo. it wasnt even a laddu as per the taste and texture goes. it tasted like colored sweet dough.
overall the experience was mixed with something really good and something really terrible. would recommend for chowmein and try to stay away from laddo. overall 6/10.

Today, I visited Chulo and was impressed by the perfect ambiance. The Nepalese music added a special touch, and the food was incredibly juicy. The service was excellent—quick and attentive—and the restaurant wasn't too crowded. It felt like I was dining in a Nepali restaurant for the first time in Sydney, and I truly appreciated the experience.

The restaurant in question is nicely decorated and has a cosy atmosphere. It boasts a huge dining area that is well-maintained. However, the food taste is considered average compared to other Nepalese restaurants in Sydney and could use some improvement.

The Nepalese Lamp Thali dish was a highlight and considered delicious by the reviewer. However, the lamp meat in the dish was found to be a bit chewy and dry, and the same was felt about the goat meat by the
friend. On the other hand, the chilli prawn was highly praised for its great taste.

The staff at the restaurant is excellent and friendly, providing welcoming service with a smile on their face.

I recently visited Chulho in Townhall and had an amazing experience. The food was simply delicious, bursting with authentic flavors. The ambience was cozy and inviting, creating a perfect setting for a delightful meal. The must-try dishes were the jhol momo, which were steamed dumplings served in a flavorful broth, and the mutton sekuwa, which was tender and perfectly spiced. The service was top-notch, with friendly staff who were attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for an incredible Nepalese dining experience in town.
